How was data collection done ?
• Our samples range from 17 years old to 31 years old • We explain and ask permission to our samples the reason of taking their body parts length and we thank them for their help • We all went to take our family, relatives and friends’ size of the forearm and the feet length • We ask them to straighten their forearm and place it on the table. and rest their legs on the floor How did you gather the samples ? • Respondents need to take off their foot wears and socks, remove accessories on both hands • Ensure good lighting • Respondents should be sitting on the chair and rest his/her forearm on the table and the feet lie flat on the floor • Ask the respondents to straighten their forearm and feet • 1st measurements are taken from the wrist of the hand to the elbow • 2nd measurements are taken from the 1st toe to the heel of the feet • Take each measurements from left and right upper and lower limbs • Total of 8 measurements from one person (2 on each limbs) • Record readings on the form • Obtain the mean of the measurements for forearm and foot length What did you use to measure ? • Three 30 cm rulers are used for the measurements of our respondents’ forearm and feet How often ? • After measuring left forearm and foot twice, we proceed to the right ones • After we gathered 2 sides of measurements, take the average of the readings Any rejections? • There were no rejections • Respondents are co-operative and willing to help us in our research • Just that some were shy and dare not let us take their photograph of their faces, thus, only feet and forearms were taken
